10 Day South African plains game hunt for 2-4 hunters (malaria-free Matlabas Bushveldt, Limpopo Province). (day of arrival at Matlabas Game Lodge and departure included). This hunt is available on mutually agreed dates between April and October 2025 or 2026. Donation consists of one blue wildebeest or one zebra plus one impala plus one warthog plus daily rates for the ten-day hunt for each of the hunters. The hunt includes accommodation, meals, laundry service, the services of a professional hunter/trackers/skinners, field preparation of trophies and delivery to a taxidermist or ‘shipper & dipper’in Limpopo. Transport to and from Johannesburg International Airport is excluded–cost $300 per hunter each way. All Value Added Taxes are included in the rates. This is a compound or traditional bow hunt and may be upgraded or extended (for extra days or additional hunters or non-hunters) as per the current price list. Various excursions and side-trips are available for non-hunters. Species that may be hunted include Limpopo bushbuck, Cape eland, gemsbok, kudu, nyala, red hartebeest, sable antelope, plains zebra, waterbuck, blue wildebeest, giraffe, caracal, black-backed jackal, vervet monkey and chacma baboon. The conservation authorities in South Africa allow the export of only one monkey and one baboon per hunter as a hunting trophy. The hunters on this hunt may however shoot unlimited monkeys and baboons, provided not more than one of each are to be exported. Only one of each will be charged to the hunting account. Tsessebe, roan, common reedbuck and Cape buffalo may also be available for an extra cost. There are no licenses or permits required for plains game, but permits for roan antelope, tsessebe, small cats, monkeys and baboons need to be obtained prior to the hunt. Accommodations are provided at Matlabas Game Lodge. The lodge consists of 4 thatched rooms and 2 en suite Meru type safari tents. The scrumptious meals are mostly traditional South African Bush veldt cuisine and venison is regularly served. Bottled water, soft drinks, beer and table wine are included–in moderation.
