Bark Point Retreat, a 4000 square foot newly renovated cabin located right on Lake Superior on a dead-end private road boasting beautiful panoramic views of the western Apostle Islands and Bark’s Bay owned by Luke and Miranda Grosskreutz.

Our favorite part of the cabin is the great room with an attached screened in porch overlooking Lake Superior. The screened in porch has comfortable outdoor furniture to sit and enjoy a beverage while listening to the waves crash into the rocky shoreline less than 100 feet away. The kitchen is complete with a Wolf 4-range oven and gridle, commercial grade vent hood, dishwasher, cupboard space for days, and a full-size refrigerator on the main level as well as on the north side of the house for large groups.

The kitchen overlooks the dining and main living area. In the main living area, we have a 50” tv attached to a 40” extendable tv stand to give our guests the ability to see the game from anywhere in the room.

Off the main living area, we have a walk-through bonus room with two queen beds perfect for kids as you make your way to the North section of the house. Another beautiful Lake Superior view awaits with two bedrooms attached to the second living space boasting a 65” TV. In bedroom number one there are two additional queen beds with an attached walk-in closet and bathroom. Bedroom number two is hidden behind the wet bar with an antique sliding door. If you make your way downstairs on the north half of the house, you will find three more queen beds waiting for you as well as a walk out to the huge cedar deck.

If you head downstairs on the south side of the property you will be greeted to the master bedroom which boasts a king bed as well as a smaller TV for parents when kids go to sleep. Bedroom #2 downstairs has a queen-sized bed. Walk out of the basement and you will find our 2000 square foot cedar deck with more beautiful views of the Lake. There is also a large grass area for kids, a firepit, and an overlook to get a better view of the lake. After a long day feel free to use the Traegar Pro 575 Smoker or gas grill.

Lake access from our cabin is not recommended due to the shoreline, but it does provide a million-dollar view. You’re less than an hour and a half from Duluth; or head over to the winery, apple orchards, and rooftop bars in Bayfield; others like to take the ferry over to Madeline Island for a daytrip or take a sunset cruise around the Apostle Islands. Bayfield County also boasts an extensive snowmobile and four-wheeler trail system which can be enjoyed throughout the year. Sea caves just east of Cornucopia and several hiking trails in the area are popular winter destinations.

Bark's Bay boat landing is one mile from the property address; it is a very well-maintained boat landing, and we use it several times a year to go fishing just off of Bark's Point for salmon and lake trout.
